Bright Future Prize gets set to return!

Our ACT Bright Future Prize is ready and set to return, opening for applications in early December!

First launched in 2021, Bright Future Prize is an international competition that seeks young people around the world with big dreams to make a difference, with a total prize fund of £40,000 waiting to be invested in our winners and their community project ideas.

Investing in the next generation of community leaders

The ACT Bright Future Prize 2025 will officially launch at the start of December, when the application form will go live on our website, ready for you to submit your bright idea.

The prize is open to young people aged 15 to 21 years old based in any country where The Ardonagh Group has a presence, including:

Once again, we have four prize categories, each connected to a way young people can have a positive impact and to help guide your idea for a community project.

The prize funding of £40,000 will be shared by the winners of the four categories.

Get inspired by our brilliant Bright Future Alumni

We are so proud of all 30+ of our Alumni, winners and finalists from the prize to date. Together, they represent seven different countries and all with their own unique aspirations to lead change, but what unites them is drive and passion.

Since being a part of the prize, all have further developed their bright ideas and themselves. Here's just a couple of stories from our 2024 Alumni to get you inspired ahead of our 2025 prize...

Never giving up

Anna lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was a finalist in our 2024 prize. Having seen the effect of mental health challenged on young people like her, Anna established a wellbeing group to lead conversation circles and excursions to help disadvantaged teens in her area.

Since the Bright Future Prize, Anna has grown her project and now even has a qualified psychologist supporting her work. Not only that, Anna has joined MDS Brasil, one of our Ardonagh businesses, on their apprentice programme, developing her own personal skills and career opportunities!

Anna, on the right with her Alumni bag, hosted a series of events over World Suicide Prevention month in September.

Creating community

In County Cork, Ireland, a group of six teens with ambitions to create a network of lifesavers were winners of our 2024 prize. Together, Carrie, Louie, Mikayla, Emma, Robyn and Amy (or Aid Avengers, as they are known), lead first aid courses and events.

They have been non-stop growing Aid Avengers, taking it to the next level, hosting a whole range of events alongside local organisations and the fire service, investing in first aid training materials, creating their own range of branded merchandise to raise awareness and even appearing on TV with RTE Today.

Four members of the Aid Avengers team ready to appear on RTE Today to spread the word about their work.
