In support of our recently launched global partnership with international humanitarian charity, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), we are hosted an online auction.
With a huge range of over 60 prizes available to bid on, alongside an incredible Golden Envelope Draw worth £1,000, we’re delighted to share that thanks to the generosity of our Ardonagh colleagues, we raised a total of £15,760 for MSF. This will enable MSF to fund anaesthesia and resuscitation equipment for an operating theatre in one of the 70+ countries they operate in.
The lots saw a combined total of over 260 bids, which ultimately saw 60 colleagues from across The Ardonagh Group win an array of prizes from spa vouchers and golf days, to a range of artwork and luxury afternoon teas. Thank you to everyone who got involved and bid on a lot – whether you were an eventual winner or not. We hugely appreciate all who took part.
The auction and Golden Envelope take our overall total raised for MSF so far this year to a fantastic £45,750! This means we are almost halfway to our target of £100,000 by the end of 2024. This has only been possible thanks to the support of our colleagues Group-wide, thank you for your support so far – and into the year ahead!
We announced our global charity partnership with MSF in January.
As a truly international charity, MSF, provides vital medical care in communities around the world where other organisations cannot, or will not, go in more than 70 countries, acting with total impartiality to save people’s lives in conflict zones, natural disasters, and epidemics. Entirely privately funded, with no government support, MSF are uniquely placed to act with complete independence and neutrality.
To celebrate the start of our relationship with MSF, ACT donated £30,000 to get our fundraising campaign underway, which has now reached over £45,000+ thanks to our Ardonagh auction.
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing more about the amazing work being undertaken by MSF, giving you an insight into how funds raised helps them to be there, wherever they’re needed.
For now, here’s a look at a project in Venezuela, where MSF workers go above and beyond to reach local indigenous communities to provide support.
