We make it easier for Ardonagh colleagues to give back through volunteering. Every year our people have the opportunity to donate their time and skills to their local communities.

By donating their time and skills, Ardonagh people make a direct impact on their local communities that they can feel on a personal level too.

We have a long history with Backpacks4Kids, regularly volunteering in their warehouse to pack essential items for children who are placed into emergency care, often with nothing but the clothes they stand up in. For me, working with Backpacks4VICKids gives me an opportunity to make a very direct and personal contribution to families right at their time of most need.

Sharing skills

Simple hard graft, technical expertise, or advice, we all have skills which could make a difference to causes big and small.

Volunteering at Mires Beck was a truly inspiring experience, reflecting the essence of sustainability—people and planet working in harmony. We spent the day helping on their new nature trail, which gave us a chance to connect while doing our bit to support their mission. Their warmth and zest for life made the day unforgettable, and made for a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together.

Members of the Everywhen Sustainability Community Group spent the day volunteering at Mires Beck Nursery, where over 100 adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities are trained in horticulture and help look after the conservation site.

Impact

Our Ardonagh colleagues are encouraged to donate their time to causes local to them, no matter where they are based around the world.

As a community broker who can trace our roots back over 100 years, it's so important to support those who impact the wider community. Inflation has impacted everyone, but none more so than those who were struggling pre-pandemic and we hope to support the charity more throughout the year.

Volunteering in action

Colleagues in Ardonagh Specialty regularly donate their time to The Whitechapel Mission, a homelessness charity in the heart of London.

It was so rewarding to give back and put in perspective the difficulties other face on a day-to-day basis. Even with the early 4am start to prepare the breakfast, it was a really fantastic and humbling experience.
