We have a long history with Backpacks4Kids, regularly volunteering in their warehouse to pack essential items for children who are placed into emergency care, often with nothing but the clothes they stand up in. For me, working with Backpacks4VICKids gives me an opportunity to make a very direct and personal contribution to families right at their time of most need.

We spent the day helping on their new nature trail, which gave us a chance to connect while doing our bit to support their mission. Their warmth and zest for life made the day unforgettable, and made for a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together.
Members of the Everywhen Sustainability Community Group spent the day volunteering at Mires Beck Nursery, where over 100 adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities are trained in horticulture and help look after the conservation site.
As a community broker who can trace our roots back over 100 years, it's so important to support those who impact the wider community. Inflation has impacted everyone, but none more so than those who were struggling pre-pandemic and we hope to support the charity more throughout the year.

It was so rewarding to give back and put in perspective the difficulties other face on a day-to-day basis. Even with the early 4am start to prepare the breakfast, it was a really fantastic and humbling experience.
